Bob Ciconte (owner of several South Jersey restaurant chains including Ciconte’s Pizzeria, Village Pub and Cinder Bar) and Tony Stavola (Owner/President of Savona-Stavola Food Service) contacted DeSimone to build the 10,000 square-foot shell for their second Cinder Bar location, in Sicklerville, NJ.
As part of the build, DeSimone installed a 95-foot long Roll-A-Cover retractable glass roof and wall system (one of the largest in the area) to create an indoor/outdoor dining space that could be used flexibly throughout the NJ seasons. Having finished this project right before the start of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, the inclusion of this roof and wall technology in the build proved vital to the restaurant’s success as it allowed the owners to maintain their staff and service while competitors were closing.
