A major transformation was recently completed at an industrial property on Essington Avenue in Philadelphia with design-build construction management services led by DeSimone. The project focused on restoring and modernizing the facility, Peakstone, while prepping the space for long-term operational use.
One of the most significant challenges involved widespread water intrusion caused by an aging roof system. Years of leaks had left extensive staining throughout the ceiling, while moisture damage affected building components throughout the facility. In some areas, prolonged exposure to water had deteriorated the ductwork and interior systems, resulting in visible corrosion and structural wear overhead. Water intrusion also caused puddling on portions of the warehouse floor.
Through targeted repairs and restoration work, the property was transformed into a clean, updated industrial facility. The revitalization included upgrades to both the interior and exterior of the building. Inside, the warehouse was refreshed with improved lighting, restored flooring, and a brighter, more efficient environment. Exterior enhancements modernized the building’s appearance and improved the site’s overall presentation.
At the heart of every DeSimone project is a simple goal to turn our client’s vision into reality as efficiently and effectively as possible.
